Events Where You Need Them
Space Events — Enable events on any FluentCommunity Space and give that community its own Events tab. Members can browse, RSVP, and keep up with what’s on without leaving the Space.
Public Community Events — SpaceEvents also supports community-wide public (portal) events, visible to all members — or to everyone, if you choose. Perfect for webinars, open meetups, or organisation-wide announcements.
You choose how you use it — Space events, public events, or both running side by side.
In Person, Online, or Both
Every event can be in-person, virtual, or hybrid. Add a venue with address search and an embedded map, or add meeting details for Zoom, Google Meet, Teams, Webex and more — with joining details shown only to registered attendees if you prefer. Streaming an event on YouTube Live, Twitch or Vimeo? Members get a “Watch live” link instead.
Repeat Events Without Repeat Work
Create an event once and let it recur — weekly classes, monthly meetups, or a custom set of dates. Members book the dates that suit them, each date has its own attendee list and capacity, and organisers manage the whole series from a single event.
Straight Into Their Calendar
Every event page has an Add to Calendar button for Google Calendar, Outlook, and Apple Calendar. Booking confirmations arrive with a calendar invite attached; if the date changes, members’ calendars update automatically — and if an event is cancelled, the entry is removed. No stale calendars, no missed events.
Keep Your Community in the Loop
Post to Space Feeds Optionally share new events directly to the relevant Space feed, so members see them without checking the Events tab.
Post to the Global Feed — For public events, push updates to the Global feed and give your whole community visibility of what’s coming up.
Email & Bell Notifications — Booking confirmations, reminders before the event, updates when details change, and cancellation notices — delivered by email and in-portal bell notifications. Every email template is customisable, with merge tags for event details.
Attendee Management Made Easy
Simple RSVP — Members register with a single click. Organisers see exactly who’s coming at a glance.
Capacity & Waitlists — Set a maximum attendee limit for any event. When it fills, the waitlist takes over automatically — members are promoted as places free up, with no manual management needed.
Check-in & Exports — Mark attendees as checked in on the day, and export attendee lists as CSV with one click — for check-in sheets, reporting, or records.
Members-Only Events
Using FluentCRM? Restrict any event to members holding specific tags — ideal for paid tiers, courses, or member benefits. Restricted events are hidden from everyone else, and if a member loses a required tag, their place is released and they’re notified automatically. Event activity can also trigger your FluentCRM automations.
My Events
Members and organisers get their own personalised My Events page, accessible from the user menu:
- Events they’re attending — upcoming and past
- Events they’re organising — with quick access to manage them
Everything relevant to them, in one place.
Admin Dashboard & Event Management
Site admins get a dedicated SpaceEvents area in the WordPress admin, with full control over the events system:
- Create, edit, and manage all events across Spaces and public listings from one place — including bulk and quick edit
- Organise events with categories to make them easy to browse
- View and manage attendees for any event, with export options
- Customise every email template
- Control defaults, permissions, feed posting behaviour, and more
Space-Level Controls
Space admins can enable or disable events per Space, directly from Space Settings. When events are enabled, you control who can create them:
- Admins only
- Admins & Moderators
- Everyone
